@jon Ha, I thought maybe that would have made it easier to get you rebooked once the connection was no longer viable, maybe even in the SNCF Connect app. But I just remembered this is SNCF we’re talking about.

@blinry A nice side effect of this is that the legroom is out of this world because there needs to be enough space for the seats to rotate in

The Alex RE2 to München is packed

I have a seat

But an elderly couple who boarded after me don’t

BUT there are two seats in other compartments - but passengers have blocked these with their bags

What do I do?

Volunteer my seat to one of the couple? Or if they’re too meek to demand other passengers move their luggage then that’s their problem they don’t have seats?

EDIT: was solved because some passengers got out at the next stop. The bags are still blocking the seats though…

Last time I took the train from Denmark to Sweden, the temporary checks had become permanent enough to justify a fence along the entire length of a platform in Malmö.
