I think all electric cars should have at least one solar panel in their roof.

Not because I magically expect this to double your range, but because it should at very least negate the passive drain on the vehicle and allow it to sit at rest for longer without needing a recharge, especially in wintery conditions for example.

Additionally, a parking lot full of solar panels as result, does make a big difference on the net energy use of electric cars from the grid as a whole; small but tangible ☀️

@zorinlynx @anthropy one challenge may be that the high voltage battery (the big heavy one that powers the motors) is typically physically disconnected from the vehicle with contactors. so it'd be charging the 12 volt battery at best.

i wonder how EVs that have solar panels handle this! time to go fall down a rabbit hole on the web...

    Happened recently and I intended to take as much time as I could to get my transit card out of my wallet, but that didn't work since they checked the other guy before me :<

    e621 is great for tags, but obviously if an artist doesn't have their art there, or if I have patreon/subscribestar exclusive content that isn't uploaded anywhere yet, I'd really love to be able to still meaningfully tag them even tho they're not on e621.

    what about a thing where folks upload hashes of their local furry porn stash, and then let the community manage tags on images without the centralized thing ever actually seeing or touching any of the images

    is this a thing? seems like it would respect artists' rights to restrict who gets paid content, while at the same time letting folks who DO have it still enjoy the benefits of the shared tagging

    feels like this should be a thing, maybe..
