years ago, I tried to set up an umbrella organization for podcasters and such. We went through some name changes but for the longest time was referred to as the Netizen Empowerment Federation. At the time, I think part of the problem was there were a number of folks that wanted to be involved that were really doing different things, but maybe it is time to revisit something of this nature for #ccmusic since CC HQ is hostile to music.

My initial impression was that I would head Global CC Music and you would take CC Music USA until both orgs got big enough to have elections.

I do wonder if it might make sense to switch those. If I am going to work with Ryno on producing shows (something I have some limited experience with) and do things like the CC Music Midwest Summit, those are really CC USA activities. ...a thread

I don't need another project, far from it, but I have been thinking about the "aggressive" stance some folks want in the #ccmusic scene and i wonder if there is a different organization (probably instead of, due to numbers, rather than in addition to) that might be called something like the Gatekeepers Collective.

The scope of this organization would be smaller, which has pluses and minuses, but in the short term would certainly help focus things (1 of 2)

should I get a full suspension #mtb if I'd rarely need it? I'd use it some up at #duluth probably but the reality is thatd be like once a year. But of course I could be overbiked at Theo and it's not like thats a problem.

im mostly trying to decide between a Wyatt Vista and an Otso Fenrir. I have a Wyatt fat bike and an Otso gravel bike so I'm familiar with the brands but neither offers full suspension.

I don't like the idea of the Stars and Stripes touching the ground. Or not being the highest flag flown. Or being incorporated in the fabric of clothing to a lesser degree. It feels wrong. But I also love the idea of flying it upside down, kneeling during the anthem or burning it if you really have a reason for doing so. Family that served but also love the 1A. I like people to be serious about it I guess. #OldGlory

glancing at the agenda before Sunday's CC Music Global Summit, I noticed that @dlikdh and I seem to have independently both come to some sort of federation as the ideal model. Stoffel suggested the UN (maybe not literally, but as a concept). Maybe the permanent security council thing makes some sense, but I wonder if the EU presidency rotation makes more sense. I do wonder if we will have enough chapters for the rotation to make sense. Certainly changing every 6 months is too frequent. #ccmusic

My guess is that Chicago needs A LOT of ties from other teams in order to make the playoffs, but I can find no explanation of what apocalyptic scenario allows them in, just that it is still technically possible.

1. would you be interested in playing to same role again?
2. I am thinking of doing this on July 13, as part of the #netlabelday2024 stuff I have planned with Asian NetLabel Day. Would that work out for you if we picked the right time?

the solstice I think is a time of hope for some, I think as I signal that the days are getting longer. This year though, I'm struck by the fact that we will just do it again next year.

I'm excited to talk to @conanneutron tomorrow because he seems cool and he's the first guest on the new show that I don't know! I have questions! also, I think he'll provide the views. life is a cynical game.
