Despite the ventilation holes, my helmet is pretty good at keeping me from feeling rain on my head, which is really nice.

I have also used my helmet a very little as a basket. But mostly not, I'm kind of afraid of damaging it that way.

@xtaran @ascentale Some fucker used framing nails for the tread supports and unbeknownst to me they've been rusting out inside alllll along!

Sheered right off, all ten at once on one tread and nine out of ten on the second. SURPRISE

Wood's actually okay, I screwed all the tread supports down (up and down the entire stairwell) with screws actually intended for outdoor use and put the ones that fell through back.

I did replace one tread support. Not 100% sure I needed to - pre-drilling to make screwing easier is basically taking a core sample and not one had rot coming out - but it looked funny to me in ways the others didn't.

(for reals tho' I don't think so - the three detailed maps work decently well together once you do a little rotating and stuff, but King County really just... doesn't. Parts just genuinely don't line up with each other consistently; along a single north-south line you'll get two trails lined up and a third in the middle that absolutely doesn't. for whatever reasons (clarity, one presumes) they moved some shit around)

@wrog X (east-west) and Y (north-south) axis.

I had to distort the little fragment of the King County Regional Trails map that I used a fair bit on X to make it line up with the other three maps, none of which needed that to fit together. They needed 2.2° or 1° (Seattle and 2 Line respectively) degrees of rotation, but no distortion.

King County Regional Trails needed distortion. And making it line up against 2 Line on the Y (N-S) axis appears to require variable N-S distortion. So I don't know what they've done, unless it's, as you say, made it look prettier.
