I am currently loving this Micke desk from IKEA. It's just spill proof I think. I don't know anything about carpentry, but the way the entire thing is coated makes spills really easy to wipe off with cloth. Stains are also easily wiped away with just a bit of water.

It's also very sturdy and doesn't easily shake when I bump into it.

I will never get used to the NATO alphabet. As in, I panic every time I have to spell out something, and the person on the other line is expecting me to say, "Charlie, Alfa, Bravo..." I usually just spit out random words like "umbrella,' "banana," "Nancy," "igloo." 😩

Sliding into more forgiving temperatures. It usually feels like 41°C or 42°C this time in the past few weeks, but today, it feels like 39°. It's also overcast, so it should get cooler as the afternoon drags on.

I honestly don't know what to make of this report. It actually surprised me that my country has "improved" its happiness score in the last decade because the past couple of years were all about extrajudicial killings, Covid deaths, job loss, social media disinformation, etc.

Guess I have to read the report to find out what variables were used in the study.

@pixiecata Oh, I haven't tried those yet. I've only ever tried my neighbor's version when I was a kid. Also Chowking's and Mang Inasal's, which are pretty good.

I don't understand why Razon's calls theirs "halo-halo" when there's barely more than 4 ingredients. Mapanlinlang! 😂

@jcoigdanes Agree with @jikodesu. If I may add: Don't hesitate to genuinely engage with posts that interests you, either by commenting, boosting, or simply liking.

#TootSEA is a great hashtag to follow as it's a vibrant community of our neighbors in SEA. And don't limit your posts to just one or two topics. Mastodon is diverse, so you can practicallly talk about and enagage with a variety of subject matter here.

Creating lists also helps you better curate your feed. 😊

Finally the press has acknowledged the irony of having a Banksy exhibit in a highly manicured environment where local artists are repressed. Also, apparently the "Banksy Universe" is not endorsed by the artist or Pest Control (the organization that represents Banksy's interests). So the exhibit may be using the art for a commercial purpose different from the purpose of the artist.

Clearly, whoever in the BGC marketing department thought about this doesn't know a thing about Banksy. 😂
