Musste #37c3 jetzt muten. Zu viel Hass, aber vor allem komme ich nicht auf die euphemisierende Attitüde klar. Noch schlimmer ist nur "wenn Events ein Infektionsschutzkonzept hätten würden sie ja falsche Sicherheit versprechen deswegen ist es ehrlicher gar nichts zu tun, und die Betroffenen sollen halt daheim bleiben".
Und "XY hat es trotz Vorsicht bekommen, das zeigt ja, man kann eh nichts machen".

Okay, I grudgingly bought a #Sonos system years ago because it was just convenient.
The latest update is terrible and breaks all local features - no library, no local services, all search goes to their servers. (Even though they explicitly stated ~2 months ago that v1 search would remain.)
Whatever their business model is it doesn't seem to include customers.

Now what do I replace it with?

Meine Versuche, den #XBB #Booster in #Berlin aufzutreiben (zugegeben nur "halbherzig", aber dennoch) sind bis jetzt erfolglos.
Mehrfach war die Aussage "im Herbst irgendwann".

Ich würde aber eigentlich ganz gern jetzt einen Termin für nächste Woche machen.

Das im Jahr 3 die Logistik immer noch so unglaublich beschissen ist, ist einfach unglaublich.

None of the officially listed (German/European) #Nextcloud hosters publicly just admits to the version of Nextcloud they're running or what their adoption goal is.

I love #hosting.de, but they're also still on v25 - v26 was released in March (with v26.0.3 2 weeks ago), and v27 three weeks ago.

Yeah, sure, but ...

Good luck finding such an attack in proprietary code.
Via the cliché paid off/blackmailed employee, hacked dev servers/repos, or via capitalism's favorite cost-cutting measure: a remote "offshored" contracted temporary developer (or nowadays, embedded into some LLM output).

If anything, Open Source Security has worked.

Because if it were possible not to have caught it yet, that'd mean we could have prevented ... pretty much everything, and it's impossible we did something wrong! So clearly, the person who didn't get infected is incorrect.

Die erschreckende Erkenntnis ist, dass sich Faschismus nicht durch Fehlinformationskampagnen einschleichen muss sondern tatsächlich den Willen der Mehrheit abbildet.

Aufklärung hält ihn nicht auf, sondern stärkt seine Bekanntheit.

Wenn mehr Menschen rechtsextrem wählen, warnt dies nicht, sondern führt dazu dass noch mehr Menschen sich damit weniger allein fühlen.

A #CLA is a red flag (unless perhaps to a NGO/charity).

Look for projects that chose strong Free, Libre, Open Source protections - such as the #GPL / #AGPL / #EUGPL and a Developer-Certificate-of-Origin (#DCO) rather than setting yourself up.

I've had my corporate email handled via both #GMail and #O365 for many years now and I can say with utmost confidence that both are HORRIBLE AS FUCK email services.
Including randomly deleting incoming email because "deduplication" etc.

I'd never accept that level of "service" for my personal email.

I truly do not understand why businesses do.
