edited to add: use of the word "tourist" for some types of fans might be upsetting so consider this a CW - I've been informed it's a gamergate dogwhistle, but I am not making any judgment on whether it is used that way in this essay

"Tourist" in this definition is heavily used in bigoted, alt-right, gamergate-type circles. It's a vile dogwhistle and on any other socmed, an insta-block for a lot of people.

I've read the essay and yes, they are using it with the same intent that I see chuds spewing it. They could be using other terms but have chosen an exceptionally-loaded one with a vile use-history.

An artist friend had this back when it released, iirc. Beautiful designs, interesting anatomy. Definitely interesting because this seems to be a Japanese release. (I don't remember what artist friend had, alas, but I'm guessing there's also a Korean edition?)
