So much of the population in the US is so gullible. They have zero ability to think through what is presented in media. They just swallow it, lies and all. I'm in such a cynical mood. I find myself wanting to be online less and less.

@Lassielmr That's very possible. We make fun of cultures that still believe in literal witches and goblins but these popular concepts of space poltergeists, watchers, and conspiracies are just as implausible. Maybe we have too much free time and lousy education.

I’m thinking Americans might be broke because they spend over $600 per month each on their new pickup truck payment and their Costco runs. I’m judging by the Costco parking lot on a non-Holiday Monday, which is jaw-droppingly busy.

@ToweroftheArchmage I’m not saying it’s a bad deal. But I saw people buying pool supplies, kids toys, soda, and huge portions of sugary desserts. The people in front of me couldn’t fit the two carts worth of stuff in their SUV. I heard one of them say they were going to be “in trouble” when they got home.

I am rural Vermont with no cell reception, no live TV. But I do have Wi-Fi. Even though big news came down today, it’s a relief to not have to pay attention because there are still so many blowhards out there.
