On #StarTrek DISCO SE05EP01: I love the story and all the callbacks and easter eggs and seeing this cast again, but I still hate the serial format. #StarTrekDiscovery asks “What if we took the classic TNG 2-parter but made it 10 parts?” Or “What if we made a massive feature film and then just chopped it into 10 slices?” Like, imagine if “Best of Both Worlds” was 10 episodes long with 9 cliffhangers. Meh.
