I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, KDE/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, KDE plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning KDE system made useful by KWin, Plasma and vital system components comprising a full OS.

Sul tragitto casa-lavoro c'è un ponte sulla ferrovia che questa estate è stato dotato di una magnifica pista ciclabile. In più hanno installato un sistema elettronico che conta le biciclette che passano ogni giorno e mostra il totale su un display LCD. Stamani alle 9 il conto era di 380. Alle 18 erano più di 1400.

Per due volte in due settimane, alla mensa del liceo di mia figlia hanno servito lasagne con contorno di .... pasta in bianco.

Ora io vorrei denunciarli per crimini contro la gioventù, che ne dite?

La pasta in questione sono le famigerate "coquillettes" ovvero pasta corta che noi mangeremmo in brodo, ma i francesi no, loro te la servono in bianco come contorno.

Il che potrebbe al limite anche essere accettabile (no) se fosse contorno a una bistecca.

Ma come contorno ad altra pasta ????

E non stiamo neanche a parlare della qualità delle suddette lasagne o del grado di cottura delle conchigliette (spoiler: non al dente).

I bought an electric bike, and I use it everyday now to do my home-work commuting. 10km each way, approximately 35 minutes, and this is the same time it takes for doing the same with public transportation.
I am also quite well equipped for rain, so I plan to continue at least until December.
And I have never enjoyed so much the home-work commuting ! The most satisfying is passing the cars blocked in the traffic jams!

@oblomov for many reasons

  1. often I have to teach at 8:00, and I do not want to arrive in the class sweating and smelling.
  2. when I am going against the wind, it's very nice to have a little help
  3. also, I bring stuff with me (laptop, charger, reports, etc) and a little help is nice even on non-windy days
  4. 20 km per day for 5 working days require to be in a good physical shape (not my case).

So much success that Google search now says that the song is by Luke Combs. Now, I guess that Mr. Combs did the cover with the best of intentions. However, Mr Combs is white, and while in a perfect world this would be no problem at all, in this world it is unjust that he is given the credits for a song written by a black woman that tells a story of poverty, shattered dreams, and defeat typical of a certain class of people. If this is not cultural appropriation, I do not know what it is. 2/

So, in the event that Mr. Combs receives a prize for his interpretation of the song of someone else, I hope he will do the right things and give honor to one of the best folk singers of all times.

@oblomov beh, i "rivoluzionari" che hanno fatto i vari recenti colpi di stato in questi paesi non sono molto pro-francia. Scommetto che Total, per esempio, è in difficoltà laggiù adesso. Quindi è un modo per mettere pressione.

Quello che mi da da pensare è che non c'è stata alcuna discussione pubblica. Così, un giorno il presidente si sveglia e decide che si mettono in pausa le collaborazioni con 3 paesi.
