Bird flu virus found in pasteurized milk, though officials maintain supply is safe (www.nbcnews.com)

The Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday that fragments of the bird flu virus had been detected in some samples of pasteurized milk in the U.S. While the agency maintains that the milk is safe to drink, it notes that it is still waiting on the results of studies to confirm this....

Or fear mongering…call it what you will.

There’s a second more obvious component that people neglect in any statement like OPs.

These companies exist because people buy their products. We can blame companies, but fossil fuel use is a collective problem.

I really wish there was a consortium that you could pay into for a number of investigative news publishers that will give you a non trivial amount of reads (15?) per month before asking for site specific funds.

This seems like it could be a win for many.

The American heritage dictionary definition 1: ^ An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth.

Seems that both fall squarely within the definition of greed.

Just an FYI, both sides including conscripted soldiers. Russia is 18 - 30, Ukraine is now 25 - 60.

Your argument before made it seem as though conscription was one sided. I’m not arguing with a stranger on the Internet… that’d be silly

This is a nothing headline. Yes, they’re all going up and it ain’t great, but this will be happening for a while. Until we move off of fossil fuels, we can expect as such .

The headline is like, “Global population is at an all time high”. No shit. It will again be tomorrow too.

Plastics

I agree with all of that, but as a society, I would not say we “know” it until we remove it from our food supply in a significant way. Today, still in most countries much of our food is stored, sold, and prepared in substantial plastics. We rightfully “know” better with lead and asbestos, but societally were still ignorant of the real concerns of plastics.

Where do you suggest to learn more about what you just said?

Man, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one.

That summary was quite the random walk… I leave this article knowing less than when I came in.

It was The Exorcist on Network television for too many of us Gen X’ers.

That’s the town’s demographics silly, not Braxton.

At no point did it talk about arming the robot, let alone any use of AI. Your concerns are valid, just not for this specific story.

There’s two problems. The aforementioned thieving, and the midnight strangler as the blanket edge that was nicely tucked under the chin of a side-sleeper gets unceremoniously yanked by a nearby sleepyhead.
