Does anyone perhaps know of a site for reviewing #dive shops or #diving companies. The #padi website has such a limited number of accredited resorts. Yes I want to dive with a safe company, hence the need for a website?!
Pretty chuffed to be connecting to Proton VPN thru wireguard, and then sharing that as a hotspot from my Raspi. Makes for a simple setup that my mobile devices can connect too!

Watched Dune 2 last night! It was great, fx, edit was tight! I never once felt like I cared about to the characters though, maybe they just unrelatable or is that just a side effect from cutting so much from the book?
Is there any geo file format that blender doesnt try to import & convert to blender data? I feel like it is lacking in that it doesnt/cant stream data from an outside file. Similar to a gpucache in maya, I just want 1 outliner item reading in a file that could have multiple meshs within.
Created a new hda today. Lets lookdev target specific selections or faces for material binding. Basically makes the process of creating geomsubsets more artist friendly whilst keeping them usd compliant!
Wrangled the #FX pipeline at last! It took a lot of convincing, but finally got everyone to agree that FX can be treated like any other animated prop. Only caveat is different 'geo' may be exported as a different file/file type.
Its made everyone see a nebulous department as much more logical!
Should have taken my car for a longer test drive sooner! Rear brakes start scuffing/squeaking after a few Kms of driving, like they warm up and change shape or something.

I feel like in times of #AppleVisionPro, being able to handle a 3D software like #Blender is some kind of superpower. Not only for assets but also for cool marketing renderings. It’s definitely on my list of tools I‘d like to learn next 📋

@vincefried I was thinking this morning about blender in VR. Would need to go beyond just a floating app in the OS, but actually render the viewport from stereo views so that you can truely see/feel the deph of the 3D scene. Now that would be pretty amazing.
Then of course there woud be the whole interaction side of it.
We're slowly moving to a more prescribed pipeline, where the artists do not need to know where files are on disk, only how to find them in the asset management system. Where the artists don't need to know what packages they need to select to do their work, just what app.
We'll get there... eventually.
And then it will all change when the next supe is hired. 🙃
Can I route my #pivpn traffic out to the internet via an online vpn provider. Say #protonvpn for example? Am I going to have to go deep into #iptables or would installing the protonvpn cli and enabling it be enough?
Basically solved this, albiet not thru my #PiVPN... but if I pointed that #PiZero (running PiVPN) to the #Pi4 hotspot then I have effectively achieved my end goal 💪
