There is a lot of talk around slowing down #AI developement, governence, etc. What are we actually worried about (honest question), terminator, ultron, rehoboam, the paperclip issue (technically all the same thing) or is it more of a cold war situation where maybe a nation or a company will gain all wealth and power?
Also if one company makes an #AGI model... will it automatically win? What if we have two AGI models competing?

So we all know snaps on ubuntu are dodgy (thanks canonical) but to be honest #flatpak is no better. Faux containerized 'sandboxed' apps with all dependencies is a waste of hdd space! I will take an #appimage or #deb file over flatpak every time.
Maybe I am old school, or maybe I just like my hdd space for other stuff, not duplicate dependencies!
I do not consider your app 'portable' if I download the 'portable zip' yet it stores all of its data in 'AppData\Roaming'. I do not want to spend time setting up symlinks to make apps truly portable.

It was a miserable experience and I was sick during and for many, many hours after. The 3D effect kept falling apart for me and made me tremendously motion sick.
I saw it a few weeks later in Real3D. Huge difference. No motion sickness, it was a cool experience.
@CStamp IMAX 3D is so flawed! U cannot tilt your head due to the technology the use (vertical & horizontal polarisation). RealD gives much more flexibilty and so yes will always give a better 3D experience (circular polarisation)

Sick of all this cheap junk on the market! Why does capitalism contantly want to drive growth & profit by making cheaper crap! I know then they get to sell the product twice or even thrice coz it never lasts! Even buying 'expensive' now does not mean quality 😒😔 just means more expensive to replace!
The #PiVPN project has ended. For those who don't know, this project was a suite of scripts that make it easy to set up your own #VPN server.
The good news is that it's basically just a collection of scripts that draws from your system's package manager. If you're currently hosting a VPN that you used PiVPN to set up, I see no reason why you can't just keep using it like normal.
How do you break down clique's that form in the office?
Example, developers are already an insular group. When they start making decisions internally that are going to affect the whole company without asking, I get worried.
The company cannot be small silo'd groups of people.
