In January I stopped accepting TFP requests so that I could focus on my own projects. One of these was playing with Mylar and fresnel-focused strobes to create "water" effects. This is one from a recent photoshoot with model Kori Vee (IG: @korivee) to create the "Sea Goddess".

@Albatross it was a bit of work to set up. Mylar sheet across the ceiling, another hanging studio right, and two on the floor attached with silver tape. Strobe with fresnel lens and blue-green filter aimed at the ceiling and another at the side. Finish with a strobe with a gridded beauty dish to pop the model out of the shot. Worth it, though.

Last weekend's project: a MERV-13 Corsi-Rosenthal box as an air purifier. I certainly makes the air feel cleaner.

Filters were purchased from Rona (about $33/filter) and the box fan from Canadian Tire (cost about $35). The fan box was used as a frame for the filters, which were taped together.

To make the system portable I added a Jackery battery pack, but it works just fine plugged into the mains.
