They keep deleted photos for a time in iCloud in case someone comes looking for them

Every cloud storage provider does it, every mail server does it, it’s incredibly commonplace

Then how would they be training AI on it? If they don’t have it? If it’s on device what’s the problem? Deleting a photo doesn’t wipe the bits to 0, it never has

People who instantly assume they aren’t biased because they don’t use Apple products are exactly like Squidward when he tells Plankton “you can’t brainwash me, I listen to public radio”

Like “I will never buy a product if it’s Apple” is the same bias as “I will only buy a product if it’s Apple”

Why do people act Apple goes around saying “hey look at this feature we invented” to everything

Like do you expect a company to list off a timeline of every product that has announced this feature before they announce their device has it?

It’s a “new feature” because the FEATURE is NEW to the product

Like I’ve never gotten this criticism, Apple’s never gone around claiming they’ve invented features that have already existed, they do talk about new METHODS, but that’s, well, not the (1/2)

In the past year alone I’ve gone from having a MacBook Pro, an iPhone Pro, an iPad Pro, and AirPods Pro

Now I have a MacBook Air, an iPad Air (with Apple Pencil Pro), and AirPods Pro, but have really had no interest in the iPhone Pros recently and will likely be getting a base iPhone 16 when I’m due for an upgrade

It’s time to move past the notion that you can’t have a good experience on the non-pro devices and it’s time to move past the notion that you need to spend that money

One thing that I want the Apple Pencil Pro to be able to do is, when on the Home Screen, you should be able to hover on an app and squeeze the pencil to invoke the long press menu

@cliffwade Apple’s been trying to forget about the long press menus since they killed 3D Touch so I’m not entirely surprised they’re not focusing on it here

It would be nice to have, but I wouldn’t really use it for much of anything

This is definitely an interesting read about the moon getting its own time zone.

It actually makes perfect sense in so many ways. I really hope since the moon time zone won't honor DST(Daylight Savings Time) that this helps us here on Earth get rid of it as well and not honor it going forward.

@cliffwade Hell yeah moon time! Though, since the moon's rotation matches its orbit, one moon sol is ~27.3 earth days, and that would mean some serious jet lag (or rocket lag?)

Finally got a chance to mess with the new Stem Splitter feature in Logic Pro (which is finally now on version 11) and it’s really nice, not perfect by any means, and certainly not a new piece of technology, but it’s nice to have it built right in! Super helpful for this project I’ve been working on!
