I need your help . One of the classes I'm taking at the graduate level this semester is Religion & Science Fiction. I read more fantasy, and would like to do my research paper on something that's not obvious (like ST/BS5/Matrix/etc.) & I'd love to use more modern sf rather than the golden age classics.

Anyone have any interesting ideas for my research paper on regarding the intersection of religion and science fiction?

I'll mention #DouglasAdams as well. But point you toward Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. It's goofy and fun and not terribly deep, but the conceit that Earth was built as a computer to figure out the ultimate question strikes me as an answer to religion.

Why can't I upload #screenshot on my #Android to #Mastodon I always get an error saying upload failed. Input was incomplete. I have no problems uploading pictures taken with my camera. It happens when I use the website and when I use my app which is #meglodon

I spent the last few days checking out #calckey and signing up on #lemmy and #kbin servers. While I can see the attraction of calckey it doesn't feel ready for prime time yet. And lemmy and kbin feel like crazy parties that are maybe quickly getting out of control. I'll keep checking on calckey to see if I like the interface more down the road, but honestly it feels good to be back on #Mastodon . This corner of the #Fediverse works for me right now and feels like home.

That said I did find a few other things to explore out there. Overall I still love the concept of the Fedeiverse and how it feels kinda wild west the way the Internet did in the 90s.
