The fact that Republicans are actively trying to walk back the Florida bill against immigrants which is causing them to flee, by giving the excuse it was only to scare people is laughable. Well WTF did you think would happen when they get scared!? THEY LEAVE! How dense do republicans have to be, just own it and say, “we fucked up, we were wrong to be bigoted, we understand why independents don’t even care for us anymore.” It ain’t freaking rocket science FFS

I really think if @\Apple wants to compete especially with their , they will need to drop Metal and embrace Vulkan. Going to be hard to attract game and other proper 3D design if it’s niche tooling used by so few users. FFS I have more games on than Mac

You can tell who is Gen Z and such on my iPod classic video. “Can you add wireless charging?” “Can you add Bluetooth?” “Can you put USB C in.” It’s a fucking iPod classic. It has a 30 pin connection, a 5 watt charger, and it is wired. It is from 2008 #sync

Everyone is “oohing and ahhing” over Apple’s new Vision Pro, and I’m like, “this just reminds me of the Microsoft HoloLens dev kits I used to play with, and it costs more than those too.” It’s way out of price for what it is, and I don’t see the utility, just gimmicks to me #sync

Trying to rebuild my offline digital music library. Should have kept the 120GB of music a few laptops ago. Don’t know what I was thinking. But here I am almost 3K songs in. UkeySoft helps grab music for my iPod #sync

My iPod has had its battery at this one sliver since last night before bed. I’m having it play music constantly to drain the battery completely so I can recalibrate it. This is day 3 🤣 #sync #retrotech #apple

That little sliver of battery is still holding on! We’re rolling into about 4 days of continuous music playing with the 3000 mAh battery. Need to fully drain it to calibrate the battery reading. It’s going to take about 20 hours to fully charge #sync

I realized I may only have to charge this iPod once a week maybe. Yeah it’s still going guys. Rolling into day 4 of music 24 hours on an iPod with 3000mAh and flash memory. Just trying to calibrate the battery by draining and a full charge #sync #ipod #apple

@sladewatkins what’s funny is it’s still smaller than most cell phone batteries. We just forgot how tech used to be so energy efficient compared to today in mobile factors. Now our devices do too much.

Well the iPod classic finally had the battery die. Now for a full recharge of 20 hours. But around 4 days of full 24 hour music playtime!? Yeah I doubt I will ever have low battery issues again lol #sync

Final results after draining the battery completely: iPod now has about 100 hours of music playtime in a single battery charge and it takes around 10-12 hours to fully charge the 3000 mAh battery. Not bad considering the OG was advertised as 36 hours #sync

It finally happened. #Twitter suspended my #Mastodon Twitter Sync app for terms of service violations.

Quickly reviving it with a new app did not work, so I think this could be the end of this sync project for me.

As I'm using Twitter less and less I'm not keen on continuing any effort on it ... anyone up for adopting mastodon-twitter-sync? https://github.com/klausi/mastodon-twitter-sync
