Still not comfortable/used to this "new" social media situation since the Downfall of Twitter. I miss Twitter, especially the circles feature. Mastodon still feels either clumsy or too much, and certainly not like the tidbit-thingy that Twitter was to me. Mastodon feels more like a microblogging platform where every post has to have some "essence". On Twitter I posted a lot of pics, I don't do it here because of alt-text, I don't have spoons to give good alt-text for every pic. (1/2)

Currently watching Shameless where (lacking) health insurance in the USA is a huge thing. People having to pay amounts like 60.000 $ or more to survive, it's so horrible. I tried researching what kind of (public) health insurances there are but it's very confusing. I'm paying 300€/Month, a certain % of my income, and mostly everything is covered (complex dental stuff and glasses are not, this sucks).

Just watched "Swiss Army Man". I'm not that into fart jokes, which was a main thing in the movie. But the rest of the movie was actually quite ok. A guy strands on an island where he discovers a kind of magical corpse and tries to find a way home with him. Their journey is absurd and funny, definitely a very crwative movie script by the Daniels (they also made "Everything Everywhere All at Once").

I finished "Neuroqueer Heresies", a collection of essays by Nick Walker. I cannot identify with labels that much but I like the idea of "neuroqueering" as an act "with the aim of reclaiming one’s capacity to give more full expression to one’s uniquely weird potentials and inclinations."

I also liked that Nick defines #Neurodivergence broadly, applying it to anyone who struggles within the neuronormative society.

So, a woman from the German rich people party said that our chancellor is unreachable and has "almost autistic traits" because (according to her) he doesn't communicate with the citizens and hasn't social contacts in the political sphere. Don't know about that. I'm not a fan of our chancellor, but wow, using "autistic traits" as an insult... And this woman candidates for the European parliament. Hope she and her party of heartless money lovers will fail hard. #actuallyautistic

After 57 hours I finished #FinalFantasy16. I liked the final battles and the ending. Now I am sad that it is over. I really enjoyed the game and the story 🥺 Though the game system was extremly reduced in comparison to other FFS, FF16 will be in my top 3 (the others are 8 and 10).

I tried Azul Sintra today. It's from the library.
I played for red and blue, of course blue won 😂 The game is quite nice.

Tomorrow, I'll play it with my friends and if they also like it, I will have to get my own copy...

My friends liked "Azul Sintra". So I guess I have to buy the game and complete my Azul collection.
We also played "The Village". It's a very neat and rather easy game. I don't need it in my collection it but I like playing it. It's fun that the main mechanism is about your meeples dying 😁

When the outdoor swimming pools close for the winter, they open the area for a day of doggy swimming. It's lovely 🥰 Franco loves going into the children's pool, Panka is not so wild about water, but she enjoys the large area or getting sticks out of the water. #dogs #dogsofmastodon

It felt like a three hour zoom meeting at work, only getting a bit of life thanks to the labrador getting into the picture (Albert Einstein) and a big bomb in the middle of the meeting. Currently, I can't bear reading about other people getting their autism diagnosis. Some even started the whole process way later than me. I am happy for them, but then the trauma I got from my diagnostics interview resurfaces again. I got the "you're empathic, you can talk, you don't have autism, you have social anxiety, just do therapy"-scenario.
I am on a waiting list for another diagnostic center, it will cost me money this time, the most I have ever paid for any kind of health stuff. The other center is supposed to be better with diagnosing people who mask, so there is some hope. But I am so tired of waiting. I know self-diagnosis is valid, even my psychiatrist told me so, but I still want it to be "official", otherwise I will always doubt my own judgement. So, waiting mode it is, for another 6-8 months or so. 😔
