Yeah I wouldn’t hate snaps if it wasn’t for canonical saying they wouldn’t force them on people, then making apt install snaps instead of .debs without the user asking for it.
Artists are mostly not going to figure out the fediverse. There really needs to be some kind of way of accessing it that is more layman friendly if we ever want it to be adopted by non-nerds
Still an awful visualization, since the scale of the chart makes it impossible to compare the release years. Also it should have a legend explaining that.
Bruh I work in IT (maintaining servers too) and my day ends at 5. You need a union. If you’re on call literally all the time you should be getting paid overtime.
A simulation sandbox game that seems like it’s got potential. I hope it’s got more of an objective than something like Dwarf Fortress with tons of ways to get there, personally.
I didn’t see any base-building in that trailer. The DF dev may have just been saying it’s an impressive simulation, not that it’s the same genre of game
That’s why in my homebrew setting for PF2e I went the Ebberon route of saying nobody has any hard evidence for their religion. Clerics of every religion believe theirs is the true one, but they can’t prove it. Divine magic is powered by belief, not directly by the gods.
It also means my world can have much more unique religions, rather than just a reskinned Greek Pantheon. The main faction in my world, primarily made up of humans, dwarves, and halflings are monotheistic, but clerics of different Saints can manifest different domains. The elves are animist and worship nature, believing that every rock is an aspect of the rock god, every river is an aspect of the river god, etc. the orcs worship the so-called Dead Pantheon, believing that the gods have abandoned the world and that the orcs are the inheritors of the land.
But it’s been ages since I played 4. I remember it being pretty good. Maybe if I played both 6 and 4 again I would come out with a different ranking. But 5 reigns supreme. The mechanics are just so much tighter and more interesting.
I have done at least one full playthrough of Civ 6 from ancient era until somebody scored a victory. I did a couple other playthroughs that I ended early. Ultimately I just felt like the whole time I wanted to play Civ 5 more
My personal theory is that they wanted The Rock (who would be straight out of central casting for Roland) but he declined and so some exec was like “okay, just use KH instead, they both work together on a lot of the same movies”
The example they give is notifications for a bunch of apps I don’t use. If you don’t use Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media, is this of any value at all?
Just Rewatched Good Omens season 1 and started season 2. I’m only a couple episodes in, so no spoilerinos. David Tennant is just so awesome in everything he does.
That worked for pirate bay because they were storing a miniscule amount of actual data. Torrents are really small. The actual data is stored in the peer to peer network. The torrents are just tracking where in the p2p stuff is.
IA isn’t like that. They probably store exabytes of data.
Often I overcook or undercook things, use too much or too little of some ingredient, and generally have no intuition for the quantitative side of things. These aren’t exactly recipes, just literal fundamental skills like cooking meat or vegetables for the right amount of time, at the right heat, with the right seasonings, etc.
anti-snap stance is anti-consumer
