There, I have done my token morning of work (mostly deleting the many emails I have been needlessly copied in to), and now I can have an afternoon of gentle recuperation.
Fun run-in at the polling station this morning with the officer who refused to recognise an EEA driving licence even though their visual guide issued clearly stated they are accepted visual ID documents because A) th licence was issued in Germany and B) I wouldn't be allowed to use it anyway because I have been in the UK for more than a year. Obviously both of these reasons were clearly wrong and another officer came to the rescue. #Elections2024#Wales
So folks, stand your ground resolutely! Particularly in the ironic situation when we are supposed to vote on a policing matter where non-British folks and people of colour of whichever nationality are disproportionately discriminated against in this country. #election2024#Wales
