From a 2023 walk at the Parthenon replica in Nashville. I like the look of HP5 at 1600. It gets grainy, but it works handheld in low light. It also works outside if you have a fast enough shutter speed or don't mind filters

  • how to develop black and white
  • how to develop color film

Although black and white developing is routine now, color still seems like sorcery to me.

I thought I knew what to expect from TMax, but this was a lot darker in the shadows than I expected. The Canon was new to me, and only has spot metering with no exposure lock. As I look at it more, I like it better. Maybe its just normal TMax behavior

So, I had this roll of #CineStill400D that I managed to break off inside a #Yashica Electro 35

I lost a few photos at the end, but I really like the results that survived. I'm real glad I was able to salvage something.

This photo shows the halation effect, and its exactly what I wanted. It did pretty well in full sun too. I've already ordered more of it

This was my first time shooting the new CineStill 400D and, yep, there it is. I love that look. That quiet eeriness as if from a suspense film.

Funny you mention this, I drive by it frequently. I'm trying to take some interesting photos of the construction, but I haven't been happy with the results yet. This looked better in my head than it actually turned out. I was under the railroad bridge in your photo.

I figure I've got at least another decade to get it right, so no hurry. 🙄 💸

✅ >15 year old Kodak Gold film
✅1970's Yashica Electro 35 from #goodwill

I had just snagged the camera from #goodwillfinds and replaced the light seals. This roll of expired film combined with me learning how to use the Yashica produced some interesting results. Here's a #caturday, probably the first shot I took.

What is this? light damage? It went away after the first few exposures.
