@simon_brooke @yianiris I have to disagree from my own economic analyses I've done in university and the industry; you over emphasise the danger. Nuclear is a great way to build up the backbone of an energy grid, and thinking you can build everything on often fickle renewable power is wishful thinking. The amount of investment versus energy returns from nuclear energy is staggering, and waste storage has to my knowledge never caused any serious safety concerns.
