I keep my 1.4 million floppies numbered with a sharpie (cuz permanence) and they’re stacked in the crawlspace

@jonhicks this is awesome. That recording of P&T is amazing.
You mention culture for part of your reasoning. I struggled hard to not associate Raggae with drugs which I’m not into for whatever reason.
But hearing the dub and echo and feedback from this one recording hints at all of the reasons that raggae were influential to so many of my favorite bands. Clash. Massive Attack. Tricky. Police. And more. Thanks for sharing this/ recording these. Love it. Well done.

@jonhicks I should follow up and say many of these genres are faves of mine. Dancehall ska rocksteady …and all of the waves that reemerged in those styles. General public, English Beat, UB40, even Talking Heads.
There’s lots to chew on here. 🙌🙌🙌
