I've been thinking, could we not use AI to program robots to play sports that we watch?

A human wouldn't be as effective as an AI powered robot.

Then nobody needs to spend years training to become an athlete.

@eldritch48 I think there are two conversations here too. Like are and sports as a job, and art and sports as a leisure activity.
A world structured around a UBI system could afford for a certain amount of art and sports to become automated, and people can pursue art and sports for leisure almost exclusively. I'd be down for that tbh.
Currently I'm hearing AI framed as "now nobody has to waste their time drawing ever" which I reject.
