Redditor floats some ideas for spicing up combat in , organized by species.

Examples: Fallen can steal ammo bricks off the ground and perch on ceilings, Cabal fight more furiously as numbers dwindle, any Hive that kills a guardian gets a permanent damage buff (more so if in super), etc. I think it would be fun to try these. https://www.reddit.com/r/destiny2/s/JfgptYvXUu

#Helldivers2 this is a live service done right. Fun gameplay, proper pricing, reasonably priced MTX ($2-3 for a thing), but you can earn premium currency IN GAME, dev interactive with the community, etc etc etc.

Question about capturing game clips on PC: Is there a way to capture just clips, not entire play sessions, with only the audio from the game?

Right now I use NVIDIA’s tool, but it seems to capture all PC audio including, say, the YouTube video I have on the side.

Is there a way to tell NVIDIA’s tool to just capture game audio? Or a similar clip tool that can? Paid is ok. I’m not ready to go full OBS to record entire sessions just yet.

Joined a lobby with this jokester and nearly pissed myself laughing.

Sorry about the YouTube audio overlaid in here (Space Ice making fun of a Steven Segal movie), I can't find how to stop NVIDIA's capture tool from doing that.

Two clips of myself evacuating a warzone in the game Helldivers 2. A player on my team figured out a way to glitch our drop ship to the point where it is launched off the ground almost like a basketball. It's ridiculous and hilarious.

Occasional reminder that #Battleborn should have been GOTY from every single publication on the planet for both 2016 and 2017.

I don't care if that isn't logical or rational. It still should have happened and I said what I said.

That game was something special. No, it was specialer than special. It was glorious. Dare I say even: monumental.

And Randy Pitchford, as well as a lot of crummy gamer people who are crummy and probably also smell like rotten fish, ruined it. Just ruined it.

#Helldivers2 I thought the hyper-patriotic motif and dialog would get old after a while but somehow it's still funny.

And when teammates destroy a big enemy and their VO goes "Have a taste of Liber-Tea!" it's feels oddly... like comradery? Hard to explain. Yeah it's all satire but still funny and feels good since we're the (ultra expendable) soldiers getting shit done.

Little Tips: Synthweave (for transmog) caps out at 15 per guardian.

The game does tell you this if you hover over their icons in the appearance customization screen, but it's kinda of hidden.

If you're spending this downtime to score some fashion, make sure you actually unlock some ornaments before reaching that cap. I'm pretty sure they don't stack anywhere else, they just get burned. Like I'm pretty sure I did a while ago.

#Helldivers2 I finally got into a Quick Play match and ok, this game is fun as hell in co-op.

A big part of it, at least for me, is that the game is designed to shift between moments of intensity and chill or exploration. So when things get intense and you're solo? Hits much different when you have even just one more squad member. It takes the heat off.

A full team? Total blast.

#Helldivers2 I'm still quite early in the game (lvl 4 cadet), so grain of salt, etc.

Consensus I've seen is you can solo the first ~ 1-3/4 difficulty levels (9 total). But IME running solo before Quick Play finally started working for me: you definitely need to lean into all your Strategems - the super abilities like calling in orbital strikes, turrets, ammo replenish, etc. You'll need it all.

But yeah, it's designed as a co-op game, it's easy to drop in, and of course you can mute others.
