From what I understand, our brains lack that ability to different extents. It was explained that this “reward” pathway being broken is one of the reasons why our minds assign a lower priority to different tasks and making something routine is so difficult.
Not sure why the downvotes when it could definitely use use better punctuation. A semicolon or an em dash could definitely help with the flow without looking like a hyperactive 14y/o wrote it.

When you; didn’t take, accidentally took, innocently used, declassified and then took, took and then declassified; the documents that you never took and were illicitly planted in your house by the FBI–all simultaneously.
I.E. Needing a political martyr to diffuse something can demonstrate to foreign parties how unstable a leader, and by relation their country is. If that leader were to regain power, it could elicit the “fool me once” scenario.

They could also be taking a page (whether founded or not) from a mental ward in that they assume some inmates may try to purposely stare at the eclipse without protection. (i.e. They’re fearing self-harm)

As someone with OCD but without ASD, I can understand a bit of this. But a helpful tip is not to bastardize something people are enjoying that you, yourself would have an issue with as a way to rationalize your dislike.
For instance… If you have an issue with a certain type of food, don’t make fun of it while people are eating it and they won’t feel attacked and respond in the like. (it’ll just become a tit-for-tat and devolve)
Instead of saying “Eww… I’m not eating mushrooms, they’re a fungus and they’re gross and they feed off rotten things.” Just give a bit of obfuscated truth and say something like, “No matter how many times I’ve tried, my mind just won’t let me do this or eat that.” No need to explain any further as many people can have issues with different things, so there’d be no need to give your diagnosis.
