Always check your public library. The ones in m area have these which cost you nothing to use because they are supported as public services.

A “spectator”, specifically. A lesser beholder.

There are some fan made 3D remakes as mods for FONV and FO4 to poke around at.

“The average American buys more than one new piece of clothing per week. If that matches your shopping habits, in a span of five years you have purchased more than 320 pieces of clothing.”

Who the fuck is buying multiple pieces of clothing every week? I don’t know anyone that does that. I feel like buys-ridiculous-amounts-of-clothing George is an outlier and shouldn’t be counted.

Do vegan milk products, like oat milk or soy milk contain added calcium in your country?

Living in Finland in the EU, I am very confused as to why none of the vegan milk products contain added calcium. Children need a certain amount of calcium which they easily get through cows milk. But not so through vegan milk, because it does not naturally contain calcium....

The calcium from milk thing was a myth generated by the dairy industry to sell milk.

There is calcium in milk but there is also calcium in lots of things. I have heard the fat in cow milk makes it harder to absorb the calcium anyway. Regardless. The amount you need is easily obtained from many other sources in your diet naturally assuming you don’t take supplements.

A lot of plant milks have more calcium than cow milk so adding more would be silly.

My money is on the youthful, blonde, blue-eyed swordsman with the mysterious past who can use magic crystals to perform magic!

Yeah we’re like super serious about privacy so we require you to make you’re account based on a unique, hard to change, personally identifiable, insecure data point and require you to show it to everyone you talk to. The fact that they’re only now starting to test hiding your phone number is beyond asinine. Any arguments signal has about security I might listen to but their concept of privacy is laughable.

If you do system wide blocking by setting an adblocking dns for the whole device it stop them. Check out stuff like nextdns.io. They have a config profile you can set up to do it and if you make an account with them you can configure what plugins you use for blocking… basically it lets you use ublock lists on the dns side.

There’s always playing on pc as well…

As far as I know there is no issue with legality. I don’t remember the specifics at this point. I believe the psobb setup was a free download for the client and what they did was rewrote the server side so it was their own software. As far as the IP art, music, etc. IDK 100%.

I will say it has been going for nearly 15 years and widely publicized and sega hasn’t ever tried to do anything to shut it down. I believe it’s in some kind of loop hole where running the server is legal, and using the client is legal for PSO:BB, but for v1, v2, and I & II version you would still need to have a legit copy for maximum legality. So if you just want to play the game… PSO:BB using their modified client / server setup is a good way to do it… plus it looks nice in HD. There are other servers besides schthack, that’s just the one I used way back in the day and they’re still around.

Step 1. Go to amazon

Step 2. Find product and track down manufacturer.

Step 3. Manufacturer only sells via their official amazon storefront.

Step 4. Repeat forever until the collapse of modern civilization. :(

Ever seen what real life F1 car steering “wheels” look like?

Durandal,
@Durandal@lemmy.today avatar

Oh absolutely not. Just mentioning it in reference to the way the KITT yoke looks.

TBF KITT could self drive just fine so he didn’t need a very functional “wheel” heh.

Durandal,
@Durandal@lemmy.today avatar

Likely assumed I was defending the musk mobile rather than just making conversation. I spose I should have been more explicit.

F1 racing is a way different type of driving than “normal” driving. Less need for lots of turning the wheel quickly and more need for controlling car features.

Vocab word for "filler" items?

In many games there are a lot of stupid filler items that you don’t know what they do and they don’t matter. (i.e. crafting ingredients). They are so ubiquitous across games that there ought to be a word for them. Sort of like a “MacGuffin” (except a MacGuffin moves the plot along, and these filler items don’t)....

IDK if these are available directly there but they do ship.

Skyrim is a first person action adventure game with RPG elements. Baldurs gate is a much more traditional fantasy RPG which I a focused on tactics and D&D core rules and character stories where action stakes a back seat. So it sounds more like you enjoy the action and immersion of Skyrim than the “RPG” side of it.

BG3 is really a love letter to the people that liked the original games and wanted more depth to the systems to try to capture the tabletop experience a little more. Since you described it as “clunky” I’m guessing that the slower tactical aspect is what you’re bouncing off of.
