I finally got around watching “The Man in the High Castle” and for Season 01 and 02, sources I got had hardcoded subtitles in the video file for the Japanese and German spoken parts....
People at Fediverse care too much about the devs. 95% libs on Mastodon, 85% Reps on Soapbox/Pleroma, 70% commies on Lemmy, etc. Never gave a shit about it since nearly all federate with each other.
I wanted to learn how to make an android app and it seems to be pushing to use Kotlin (official tutorial). I thought I was going to use Java (that I know). So I’m a little lost....
It’s a place for everyone man. By federation & freedom, people often don’t account that there could be people with other beliefs, opinions and start to demand action against them, like it was on a corporate platform.
Lemmy is growing, we can’t deny it. The reason for this is people, that didn’t leave for the first times due to lack of content. They waited, they contributed, I’m one of those persons (not this acc). I don’t see anything exceptionally bad in communism, on the contrast I think it’s good to talk about it these hard times. I don’t provoke it, but if I see that some person makes it look bad unfairly, just by hearing propaganda and bluntly repeating everything he/she saw on the TV & Internet (often designed to put groups of people against each other by some individuals), without thinking for himself, I step in.
People gotta be respectful towards people of any belief, could it nationalist, communist, democrat etc… Try to explain our world view as decent as possible and be prepared to hear and think through answers without having prejudices while thinking.
That’s one of the ways how people mentally evolve.

I didn't believe it the first time I heard abt it, since it sounded more like a conspiracy theory than a actual thing, but it's true. Google does add 5s timeout specifically to Firefox and Edge users when they try to watch a video on YT. If you want to know more about it, Mental Outlaw make a very good video abt it (Link: https://youtu.be/v4gXhmzQztE ). I think Google did this, to get people moving to Chrome since the majority will think this is a browser issue, nobody would expect YouTube to purposely doing this. In the attached Screenshot you can see that YouTube checks the user agent of browsers to see if it's Edge, Firefox or not. You can bypass this by changing your User agent to chrome.
Edit: Due a lot of people saying a lot of different things abt it, I want to say that I'm not 100% sure abt how exactly this works, there is a inbuild delay by Google, but who is actually affected, there are a lot of different opinions abt it. I wasn't able to verify this myself in LibreWolf, but this could be the case due my intensive hardening I did and this is just a result of what I found in the code and what Mental Outlaw and others shared across social media, if you got different or additional infos abt this feel free to comment and I suggest everyone ti also check the comment section.

Don’t know what are you talking about, I was seeding on Rutracker, NNMClub for 5 years, giving 10-15GB day sometimes, I’ve seen many profiles who share 6-10-15 TBs a day, just a couple days ago a guy was asking on qBittorrent discussion how he could improve his 18Tb home seedbox, he had to open different instances of qBittorrent Enhanced, because at 10-15k torrents it was bugging out.
Their moderators contribute relentlessly, there are annual topics with competitions for best drawn picture, sang song, written poem, word games etc…
There’s a thing called Torrentovka, when people from Rutracker meet and camp, telling stories, many couples were found and married this way, Rutracker is basically a family forum.
Hell, my girlfriend uses NNMClub, we were both seeding Kaleo once at the same time :)
