I think I make more contacts when I'm antagonistic and drunk than when I'm polite and politic.

Loomis - "Pure evil."

AborigenGTS,

@Tweetfiction This only tells me I need to see Halloween 4.

AborigenGTS,

@Tweetfiction It's weird, because I was never into slasher, but I watched every Nightmare on Elm Street and Evil Dead movie. Why? I cannot reconcile.

AborigenGTS,

@Tweetfiction They do! Evil Dead 2 is nothing like the first one, like it just ran off on its own path. And Nightmare on Elm Street was the launchpad for so many stars... well, Johnny Depp.

AborigenGTS,

@Tweetfiction See, I LOVE that. I love that the people we love now had those debuts in '80s slasher films. It doesn't follow, it didn't pidgeonhole them, but I love that they have those shots in their resume. It's not entirely a rite of passage, just… that's what was going on at the time. I love that diversity in someone's career.

@pluralistic What exactly do you do for a living? I followed you here because you give off good vibes, but I've honestly never been able to pin down why you keep popping into the cultural zeitgeist every so often. I think I first learned of you in HS during your time as Randall Munroe's arch nemesis. Sure, I could probably go read your Wikipedia page, but I figured I'd get a more interesting answer this way.

Twitter (X) is not an easy habit to break - especially if most of your audience / community is firmly rooted there and too stubborn to leave. I get it. I do. I won't pass judgement. I'm definitely no NPR (all things considered), but... https://niemanreports.org/articles/npr-twitter-musk/

    AborigenGTS,

@ChrisPirillo It's the user's fault for piling all their eggs into a free, unregulated platform. I will totally pass judgment when remaining on Twitter means contributing revenue to Nazis.

Is it bad that I just, can't bring myself to report bug after bug after bug in something? Like, I'm all out of big spoons for things like that. I just ... I'm just out.

    AborigenGTS,

@devinprater It's not bad, when so many companies ignore this kind of help and sometimes punish it. You never know how it's going to go down.

Imagine that you woke up in a world where the only life is the last echos of souls long dead, that have nowhere to go. The world is so fragile that even your intent can bend, or break, things around you. Even something simple as breathing can affect the world.

You basically have two choices. Make the world better, healing it and bringing life. But it's hard to grow a seed in nearly-dead soil, and so it'll be extremely difficult for you to make this world a better one.

Your second choice is to allow the world to die. Release the souls and along with it, the breath of life that was held there. You'll die along with it, yes. But it will be an end.

So, what would you do? Work to bring life, or allow death to claim a world that should have been dead long ago?

    AborigenGTS,

I just read a recipe that referred to Shrirachi as "Cock Sauce" and...

Do people really call it that?

Yes, I'm familiar with the iconic packaging.

It just seems like a naming choice that could lead to tragically unfortunate confusion.

    AborigenGTS,

@AdaraAstin "Sriracha," though the Thai town it was named after is Si Racha (though it was originally Sriraja). The most successful brand-without-a-brand, without trademark, spread only through word of mouth.

Yes, people commonly call it that. Sometimes that's the only risque-ness they get in a day. I think the confusion is intentional, as spicy and dangerous as the sauce itself.

I'm watching a show in which the mother advises her daughter not to ask a guy out because men don't like it if a girl is too forward. In our year of the plague 2023.

    <ahem>

Women (who date men): Were you ever given this advice? Did you listen? How in your experience does it hold up?

Men (who date women): Have you ever been asked out by a woman? How did you react? Are you turned off if a "girl is to forward"?

    I keenly await your replies.

    AborigenGTS,

@AdaraAstin I have never been asked out by a woman. I have fantasized about such a scenario.

Elon's plan to get rid of the block button is both stupid and impulsive. He will come right up against the Google and Apple stores' TOS and then make up some face-saving reason why he never followed through.

People are so mad at me for promoting my YouTube, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that you have to diversify when it comes to platforms.

Also, I’m really proud of the videos I’ve been putting out there and have a lot of big plans for my channel! Sorry for telling u guys about it constantly, but it’s a big focus for me and I have been working hard on my videos!! https://youtube.com/@TaylorLorenz

    AborigenGTS,

@taylorlorenz ...how is promoting YouTube a diversification?

You don't need to be an economist to realize this is wrong

    AborigenGTS,

A Question for my Word Nerds:

What is a word(s) that sound exactly like their definition?

For instance, the word Soporific sounds exactly like a lazy sleepy word to me.

    AborigenGTS,

@RickiTarr I can only suggest that "pulchritude" sounds like the opposite of what it means.

Yeah, that's about right. deactivated my account and sundered my WordPress subscribers because of the ways I describe people making love.

Yet Stripe has no problem supporting a far-right bigot.

    AborigenGTS,

@AimeeMaroux I know that Ko-Fi uses Stripe for transactions, but they haven't canceled my Ko-Fi account yet, so maybe the extra layer buffers against scrutiny? Ko-Fi is definitely geared for commissioned pieces.

    Otherwise, there's Liberapay.

    AborigenGTS,

@AimeeMaroux Oh no, that's disappointing to learn. They used to be more open to this stuff, happy to be an alternative to PayPal. Then I'm at a loss, I don't know of any alternatives.

I just saw someone ask this question on an AMA. It's great question! So I'm turning it over to all of you: what's the one song I should listen to if I wanted to know you better?

Freshly transfered here from another server. I'll do another #introduction.

I'm a #SizeFantasy writer, which means playful, erotic, or terrifying stories involving tiny people or gigantic people. I also represent this in photo collages, #DazStudio, and even music. I ran a quarterly #FlashFiction #AmWriting contest to encourage new writers and help experienced writers break their habits. I collect music videos and vintage pulp fiction that feature #Giantess/tiny people as well.

Photograph of a tiny man in an orange coat running down a sidewalk, wet with melting snow, before a woman so large we only see her black jeans and maroon Fluevogs.
A black-and-white illustration of a tiny man looking up at the camera. The edges are scratching and grungy black. The likewise flawed print text reads "three inches tall, one point two ounces, Aborigen has a posse."
