Honestly, I’m convinced it wasn’t counterfeit. The police refused to show any evidence of the bill other than a single photograph. If they actually had it they would have been parading that on fox 24/7. But, yes, even of he had knowingly used a counterfeit bill that doesn’t justify execution, let some extra judicial execution.

A7thStone,

I thought we couldn’t use Linux because people don’t want to use a command prompt.

A7thStone,

I’ll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one.

I was trying to figure out of you meant pig man, or man baby for too long. Then I realized that was the hybrid.

A7thStone,

He was elected to lead not to read. Oh wait that was the other shithead.

TIL in the Carboniferous Period, no fungus existed to decompose trees. They just grew on top of each other up and up.

The weight of the trees was so great that the ones on the bottom got squished and became coal. That’s where coal is from. Bonus fact: the whole time this was happening, sharks were hunting in the oceans. Sharks are older than trees and fungus!

A7thStone,

You still should have a dedicated circuit for your microwave, and a second for your refrigerator in the states according to the national electrical code

A7thStone,

Having been a motorcyclist in NYC this is true. They will try to hit you to keep you from doing something they can’t. I can’t imagine how much worse it must be for cyclists.

A7thStone,

You might like Glasshouse by Charles Stross.

A7thStone,

It’s just common sense that there are two classes of people in the world. Those the law protects but does not bind, and those the law binds but does not protect.

A7thStone,

One of the nuke plants I work at put in a hydrogen electrolyzer two years ago for this reason, and they are doubling it’s size next year because it worked so well. Their “problem” is different than solar. Nukes constantly put it the same amount of power, so they feed the excess into the electrolyzer when demand is low, but it’s basically the same idea. Electrolysis id inefficient, but if you’re producing more energy than you can feed into the grid you may as well do something useful with it.

A7thStone,

I agree. Carbon capture is not the solution, no one thing is, but it should be one of the many things we use to work toward a solution.

A7thStone,

From the downvotes I can tell some jimmies are still very rustled.

Now that DuckDuckGo is out. Give me your search prompts and I'll answer them as best I can. That includes images (based on what I have saved on my PC). So what is it you wish to know or see?

Edit: Due to popular demand FatTony Search servers are down for the time being. but has gone open source just in time (Yes that’s how it works 😡) . You may now get responses from other users. Servers will be back up some time later.

A7thStone,

What a garbage point, if someone is offended by something I did, even if I did nothing wrong, I don’t do it to them again because I’m not an asshole.

Putting aside the jury still being out in the last part of that statement, Sam Altman has showed himself to not only be an asshole, but an asshole who will do anything he thinks he can get away with. So the statement you took issue with “but if OpenAI didn’t do anything wrong, why would it take down the voice” is accurate. Considering the pattern of behavior from Altman and OpenAI that action is a rather implicit admission of guilt.
