The #settlers will not be allowed to send #money to the #UnitedStates or have anyone act on their behalf. The order also prevents any American from contributing money, goods or services to those sanctioned.
The financial #sanctions follow an announcement in early Dec restricting US #visas for people believed to have been involved in #settler#violence, as well as their immediate family members. Neither those restrictions, nor the sanctions announced on Wed affect the many US citizen settlers.
The Australia, US, France, England, Canada coalition is bombing Yemen, while South Africa takes Israel to the international court of Justice on genocide charges. Not a single western country has supported their claim. All the signatures are from the global south (conceptually).
This is about #colonial legacy and the mindset of #settler societies used to #exploiting the planet and its humans, extracting labor, land and resources as if its their backyard, without repurcussions or consequences.

I have heard various things from people supporting the israeli engagement in #Gaza and #settler driven violence in the #westbank
If the rest of the country thinks they are terrorists, there is not much visible action. Even german public tv @ZDF noted that they were silently supported by the military.
I have also heard voices like "when all is over #netanyahou will need to justify himself before court in #israel for handling the run-up and the engagement".
The steadfastness of the Palestinian popular struggle for universal freedom and dignity is pointing the way forward for movements for justice everywhere, from #London to #Cairo and beyond.
Only through the violent suppression of popular sovereignty across the region have the #military#dictatorships, the #petro-monarchs, and the #settler-#colonial project in Palestine survived.
#Israel is a #settler - #colonial experiment. It should come as no surprise that cultures and nations with a history of #colonialism , barbaric confiscation of #indigenous lands and massacres in the process, would support and internalize the settler-colonial mentality and actions of a state doing what they did in the past for the lands and resources they sit upon. If you look at the global south and countries / peoples with colonial histories, they unequivocally recognize what's happening.
