“A claim that nearly half of private school pupils would leave the sector if a Labour government levied 20 per cent VAT on their fees is “too high” and “not statistically representative”, the consultants behind the study it was based on have said”
I see Sonia Sodha's laying on the guilt trip in the Guardian. Apparently people are 'foolish' if they choose not to vote for Labour, regardless of whether they're disenchanted, or, presumably, even if they've been kicked out of Labour for being too left wing.
Getting a little bit sick of the hypocrisy now, tbh, and at the same time I envy my friends up in Scotland who benefit from #PR and can vote for the candidate they want - without the constant barrage of BS!
@DigitalTaoist Even in Scotland, it's still First Past the Post for Westminster elections. Because OF COURSE Westminster wouldn't trust us to meddle with those.
Why do the cult of Boris also emulate his inability to understand a graph?
They quite clearly show partygate did for his electoral attraction. Then compounded by the catastrophic loss in Truss's short tenure. Whereas Rishi's tenure did steady the ship and would have made progress if he hadn't been sabotaged by the far right exodus to Remain who most definitely have not adopted Boris' agenda.
“Labour has said there will be no rises in income tax or National Insurance if it wins the general election - but some spending cuts have not been ruled out”
…The UK has be ransacked, looted & vandalised by the tories for the last 14 years
@JorisBohnsonPM apparently #reeves and #starmer have discovered a big red button in the treasury somewhere that will immediately deliver growth - with mo investment required
That growth will apparently fund everything good and not trickle upwards to private health providers, landlords and shareholders - despite there being no changes in tax or utility ownership or funding for the #NHS
Its absolute bollox of course,
but, hey, at least they're not wearing blue rosettes /s
“Under Ofcom rules, Conservative MPs Jacob Rees-Mogg and Esther McVey, as well as former Tory deputy chairman-turned Reform MP Lee Anderson, are unable to continue in their presenting roles while they seek re-election”
'I'm going to make him a star'. Yaroslav Dronov was the frontman of a struggling cover band. Then he married a PR agent and became Shaman -- wartime Russia's most famous singer.
