On my last two albums, I've slid down the path past minimalism and post-minimalism to slow, quiet piano music with changes. I'm still exploring the same compositional concepts, but with harmonic motion.
If you haven't heard the latest yet, you're welcome to check albums out: hollywood staircase and blue in blue in blue.
Welcome to it's only Saturday...two new pieces for you: variation of a variation, a soft pedal piano in Werckmeister III temperament and griffith observatory, an improvisation in five limit just intonation.
Since I moved recently and I'm still getting settled down, nothing new for Bandcamp this week. There will be more music released before New Ears, for sure.
Take a few moments and check out albums that were released this year:
the sound of the lake at round valley
klang and the silver cord
last day of winter
florescent mondays
come evening, she hunts moths
four winds, two moons, the sky is night
Hey folks, introduction. Long time microtonalist, just intonation is my thing. Minimalism is my path again. Music on Bandcamp now, old videos on youTube.
I used to play guitar, broke my elbows in 2009. I finally gave up on gtr a few years ago., but use VST to make music now. Pianoteq & Surge help in the tuning dept.
@microtones
I didn't know what microtones were before I heard of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. You might like this album, a bit heavier than the usual microtone stuff:
