February 13th, starting at 6:30PM @MassDOT
will be hosting a public information meeting to share the current design for the long-awaited grounding of the McGrath Highway between Broadway and 3rd Street in @CambMA
Cambridge Citizens Coalition is to celebrate their slate that includes Robert Winters & Carrie Pasquarello, who've made & supported racist, Islamophobic, & transphobic statements
Whenever anyone tells you how well or poorly the N Mass Ave bus lanes are working, please aggressively apply the asterisk that customers of the paint store delay the inbound trip for every bus and car occupant Every Single Morning.
@bikepedantic Anyone know that the ticket description is for bus lane parking? Looking on #CambMA opendata, I can't find one. Here's a graph for "Bus Stop" citations.
From a quick search, I think the relevant statute is MGLA ch. 161A, § 46 which was amended to add "and designated bus lanes" after "bus stops," so it might be the same citation.
Do you think the BU Bridge is not great? A group of us have developed some recommendations to make the Bridge and it's ends much better for everyone - safer biking, easier walking, faster buses, reduced congestion.
We are gathering signatures to show support for these changes to convince MassDOT to make these fixes soon.
We queue nearly twenty people on bikes and micromobility devices every peak cycle at Hampshire & Prospect in #CambMA. It is beautiful to watch. We are making it happen here.
“This year, we built only five housing units. Yes, just five. In a city of 50,000 homes, that’s not 1% or even 0.1%; it’s less than 0.01%. These numbers are not just statistics. They represent a profound failure to keep up with the needs of our community.”
Hey #boston#cambridge#somerville#urbanism and #biketooter folks - do we have any stats on how many miles of bike lanes, slow streets, or bus lanes have been added in the past decade or so? Because it feels like that number is significant and deserves to be celebrated
