This image was taken during the middle of February at the end of a big snow storm that dropped feet of snow on the ground. The sky was completely greyed out and the white snow covered most every surface, masking off all traces of color. But this is a color photograph. Looking closely at the river you might see some darker greens being reflected in the low light under the trees. I started working on this awhile back (before hospice was announced) and finally finished it. President Carter would be memorable to me no matter what but the fact his home of Plains #Georgia is just down the road makes him even more so.
One of my favorite places to be, is under the pier. As a child it kind of felt like a fort. Sound of the waves, you could hear nothing else around you,
Trees are not only beautiful, they filter the air we breathe. I planted 25 douglas firs today to replace a small percentage of the trees that were burned in the 2020 Fire and 25 to to go. I hope you consider doing the same to counteract Climate Change. https://buff.ly/3M20eW7#naturephotography#climatechange#planttrees#aYearforArt#trees
I'm starting 2023 by posting #MyRecordCollection , adding to this thread one each day. These are the albums that made me who I am (for better or worse). That should last most of the year! I'm also updating the art, using techniques I've learned and developed since I began this series in 2009.
