Here in #Wales, TfW will give you compensation if your train is more than 15 minutes late. In Canada and the US, ViaRail and Amtrak won’t give you more than a shrug. (Their “margin of error” is more in the half hour zone.)
26 May 1561: Thomas Davies consecrated Bishop of St Asaph #Wales#Cymru by Matthew Parker at #Croydon#otd (MSearle)
He ordered the Gospel be read in #Welsh#Cymraeg & was assiduous in attending #parliament at Westminster.
22 May 1538: Bl. John Forest #Franciscan having refused to recant his denial of the Royal Supremacy is burnt #otd on a pyre part fuelled by the statue from Llanderfel St. Derfel in North #Wales#Cymru. (Salmon)
He’s unusual in having being done for heresy rather than treason.
An interesting Dutch ?17th century image of John Forest the Franciscan who was burnt #otd 22 May 1538 on a pyre that was part fuelled by the statue from Llanderfel [St. Derfel] in North #Wales#Cymru.
Sore feet after a 12-mile walk this afternoon to a location known as World's End. These three pictures were of the destination, but the stars of the show were cows. Hairy cows. You'd better like cows for the pictures I have to follow 😊
Just added a new hotel to the website to help anyone looking for accomodation. The Trecastell Hotel is a few miles from Cemaes, but is only a 5 minute or so drive away. Busses are available as well as a possible ride sharing option if enough people are interested. Their Sunday carvery is quite tasty as well! (I went a couple of weeks ago)
Tickets are still available for the event, book your #Drupal weekend on #Anglesey today!
