Decided to try to setup a blog for my development. For my first piece I decided to recount the development history of #Lomiri as a frame for my future posts.
Our friends at @volla are big supporters of #UBports, and are now offering you the chance to win a Volla Phone 22. Learn all about how to enter the raffle and win this fantastic prize in our blog post:
Just got back from the local #tdose conference. I might have gone a bit overboard in preparing some #sxmo material to go in style. Fellow mobile linux project #ubports had a nice stand and #nlnet had lots of stickers to share, including a #postmarketos one.
In-line with my previous blog post about #Flatpak in #Lomiri I have been working on getting the core Lomiri click apps packaged for Flatpak.
Thankfully, there have been upstream efforts to do this already! Sadly it seems that the packages are out of date and barely functional, but it is something to work with!
So far I have the Lomiri calculator, clock, and filemanager running.
My heart is bleeding. After 9 years using Ubuntu Touch on my main phone, I'll switch to a degoogled Android version. Too much services I regulary use implemented an app only policy or at least an only all features available if using the app policy, which kind of sucks. I ended up having two phones, but that sucks also. So in the end, I gave up.
However, thank you ubports for your ongoing efforts and hard work. I'll continue to support you financially and hope to come back to UT.
