I feel like my comments back in Sept last year, about TVNZ not being viable as a commercial entity, are being vindicated. If the new government are looking for suggestions, here are a few I made at the time;
This whole episode also exposes the short-sightedness of breaking up NZBC into TVNZ, RNZ etc. A unified public broadcaster, not subject to commercial imperatives, would have had a much easier time adapting to the digital transition.
A lot of public money was spent on those Rogernomics reforms. Now, if we want to save the public broadcasting infrastructure managed by TVNZ, we're going to need to spend more public money reversing those reforms.

"From tomorrow New Zealanders will have new standardised recycling guidelines to follow — however, there is still some confusion for Kiwis who may not know which items belong in kerbside recycling bins."
On the suggestion of @adminkirsty, following my post below, we watched the excellent TV series 'Origins' by the very likeable Scotty Morrison where he traces the origins of his Māori ancestors across the Pacific and even further afield. I’ve found myself moving back to #TVNZ+ and #MāoriTV to watch more NZ content. Both have some great local and international shows
Only discovered #Creamerie on a repeat. Really decent local dystopian series from a few years ago. Props to the people who made this show! #TVNZ#IrirangiTeMotu#NZonAir#TV
