I spotted this painted turtle at the Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary a couple years ago. There were tons of frogs and turtles so it was a fun day for photography.
Play the sound! In a swamp or wet forest, it is best to move on tree trunks that have been laid on the ground by age or wind. Or bitten off by beavers.
No knees here, a bit further north of the Everglades (near Naples).
But I like the many forms and colors, and that clear blue blue water.
I think I'm enjoying "different" & "abstract" more of late. Realism is lovely in its place. But I'm preferring natural beauty more than the beast(s).our screens.
