I decided to make a plate loadable dumbbell that's hard to grip and which I can load to more than I can pick up. 2" A513 tubing (1/16" wall thickness), shaft collars. Another day I'm going to load this to ludicrous weight but I'll mostly just use it for rows and curls and maybe eventually some other nonsense while developing grip a la Fat Gripz #weightlifting#powerlifting#strengthtraining
Most of the effort was just filing the ends smooth.
Well I did my #StrengthTraining. I talked myself into it by telling myself I only had to do half, then I could stop, but I managed to do the full 60 minutes. First time using my new, heavier weights, they’re only 5kg dumbbells which I appreciate is nothing to lots you fitness buffs but that was plenty challenging for me. I’ve never used anything above 2kg before. Suspect I’m going to feel it tomorrow #fitness#FitnessJourney
