1/ 🤔 Have you ever stopped to think about the level of privacy we have in today's world? From surveillance cameras to social media tracking, it seems like Big Brother is always watching.

4/ 💡 It's important to be aware of the implications of living in a surveillance society. We must advocate for stronger privacy laws, demand transparency from tech companies, and educate ourselves on how to protect our personal information. 🛡️ #StayInformed

Getting real tired of the media gaslighting anyone who still takes covid seriously by trying to claim people who don't want brain damage or heart damage or strokes or ME/CFS or diabetes or nerve pain or a bunch of other issues are just "overly anxious" about covid now and it's because we haven't been given "guidance" on how to "adapt to the new normal"

Meanwhile, in the land where science has actual meaning, covid is 4x deadlier than the flu, several orders of magnitude more likely to lead to chronic postviral illness, and people enjoying the "new normal" are getting it 1-3 or more times a year whereas I can count the number of times I've had influenza in 40 years on one hand. Also, award winning viral disease experts talk about how important it is to get covid as infrequently as possible

But sure. I'm just "overly anxious" about getting the brain eating, heart destroying, diabetes inducing, immune system depleting, neuron fusing plague that nobody is trying to stop from spreading anymore

Sofina,

@eniko Staying informed and cautious about COVID is not anxiety; it's responsible. The science is clear – COVID is a serious threat. Let's prioritize health over misinformation and keep advocating for safety measures. #StayInformed #StaySafe

July was the hottest month on record. So here's some tips on how to stay safe in the heat:

-Do not look directly at the sun. The sun interprets this as a challenge, and will become hotter to assert dominance.

-Cover your body in slugs. Each slug will lower your body temperature by a third of a degree.

-Crawl around on all fours instead of walking. Heat rises, so you want to stay as low as possible.

-Remove the various tubs of ice cream from your freezer to make room for yourself.

AcesAreWild,

@lowqualityfacts Fake News! Everybody knows that it actually is leeches that lower your body temperature! This is because the leeches suck the blood from you and fewer red blood cells carrying less oxygenated blood through your body would make you colder! Don't listen to the Major Left-wing media about this, because they are all just shills for Big Slug! #conspiracy #stayinformed

👀 Who remembers "Hacker Safe" badges? (Yes, we're old!) 😆

This week on the podcast we discuss Forbes' collaboration with SecurityScorecard to identify America's Most Cybersecure Companies and the ethical dilemma that this presents to companies that may not have given their permission to be listed. Plus, our discussion about how these "lists" may make companies a target for attack. Also on this week's episode:

🔹 The FTC's Complaint Against Ring
The FTC charged Ring, the Amazon-owned home security camera company, for compromising customer privacy and having inadequate security measures. Employees accessed private videos, while hackers exploited vulnerabilities and now Ring needs to reimburse customers $5.8 million dollars. The FTC complaint emphasizes that Ring's actions disregarded privacy and security, putting consumers at risk.

🔹 Detecting Malware on Your Smartphone
Google has removed the iRecorder - Screen Recorder app from the Play Store after it was discovered that it was infected with malware capable of stealing personal information. We discuss several ways to spot malicious apps on your smartphone helping you protect and safeguard your personal information.

Tune in for these stories and much more on this week's episode!

When I saw your tweet that said, like literally not a oh man l lo l I when you said on Twitter hey it's the new hacker safe or whatever you called it I'm like oh my god he's right? um. I mean. That was my first reaction I mean I don't know if it's right I'm just saying I felt like I mean everybody remember the hacker safe badge I mean we're really dating ourselves because this is like old school that was like what 2010 or something. But. Yes, we are yes 2005. But yeah Mcafee came out with this hacker safe badge what was it like a scanner or something was it. Macafee has something to do with it but like you could get this badge if you were you know doing regular scans on your website and said you're hacker safe. So what happened was all these hackers were like I don't think you're safe. Oh it was awful. Oh it was awful. And then they hacked all these websites with the Hacker safe logo I've aid I'm just saying.
