Can anybody out the make a shirt like this for me? It's a design that just sticks in my head. I guess it's a bit Star Trek-looking. But I can't find anything quite like it anywhere. #sewist#clothesmaker#designer#sewing
#fabric#sewist#sew I have a fabric question. I have 2 yards of nice, light blue wool. I've had it so long that I can't remember where I acquired it. It has no smell even though it is likely very old. In preparing to use it to make the Pattern Easy Dina jacket, I washed it. While wet, it reeked of mothballs. But when it dried, the smell disappeared. My question is, should I use it? Do you have a suggestion on how to rid the mothball 'essence' of this otherwise really nice wool?
Wanted to make a little historically inspired accessory, so enter the linen pointed belt. Of course I had to make one side spooky so it's reversible with spiderwebs on one side and plain on the other. It also ties at the back so it's nice and adjustable.
Hey, curvy girls who love to sew! I found a wonderful database of patterns in sizes to fit every shape and size. No more searching for designers who carry your size!
I'm attaching the imperial size chart, but they also have metric.
I've really enjoyed others sharing their creative makes here. So here's my latest project. I'm still building my skills, especially using knits, so this is a humble turtleneck. It's green to wear on St. Patrick's Day. The collar is unattached to the shirt so I can wear it with or without. I also tried making a lettuce leaf type hem which, I think, turned out surprisingly well. #sew, #sewist, @sewing
