Does anyone have any good suggestions for some basic free tier #django server hosting for testing that also supports WebSockets? I was planning on using PythonAnywhere but it looks like they don't support WebSockets right now.
@nfoert render.com has a free tier for web services (limited hours per month, it shuts down the webserver container when idle). They have free static files and a very very limited free trial of database but otherwise everything else is non-free.
Fly.io don’t have “free tier” per se, but do provide enough free usage each month to run a test env without it costing anything.
Both of those will happily handle asgi and websockets.
Those of you who host servers using third party server hosters, who do you rent one from? I'm thinking of doing the same right now, as I'm not able to use my own hardware for it.
