33 today, which is also the atomic number of arsenic, the last meal of all seven of my late husbands.
I don't really do birthdays, so here's a little discount across the shop for today only instead - enter the code AULDWAN at checkout to get 10% off all orders until tonight. All proceeds will go towards poisoning my next five husbands. https://www.ciaraioch.com/artprints
Thanks to @kd for highlighting this #Irish government survey on climate change.
Worth filling out, if only to counter the individualistic bias in the survey itself and leave comments.
I feel like they want answers like everyone should buy a new EV and install a wind turbine, rather than face the systemic changes like critically reducing car use that are necessary and making public transport/cycling better.
Just 12 hours to go until history is made, and Ireland's women face co-hosts Australia in the curtain-raiser fixture for the World Cup 2023 - COME ON IRELAND! 💪🏼
How are all the Kevins of the Mastodaoine holding up this fair morning. #Kevin#Mastodaoine
(I’ll be checking in on all the Conors and fellow Marks later).
I wonder would it be possible to have a #Mastodaoine open night once a week for a couple of hours to help new people (esp people from bird site migration) to find friends & get engaged in conversations? Mastodon is a lot less "live" than the bird site. Newcomers are responding to posts cross-posted from bird site & getting no response & finding it frustrating. I think lots of us being live on that # at the same time could make a difference.
If this is a stupid suggestion, please forgive me!

Watercolour painting commission of an inviting open Irish fireside, where I was asked to incorporate elements of west Kerry including roadside flowers, local landscapes, football, turf fires, poetry, and hues of green and gold.
is the #Bray to #Graystones walk open at the moment. There are several indications that there are parts that are closed but they may be old, pre-pandemic?
Oh #mastodaoine , what a lovely surprise to come back to the office to find. Nobody does an envelope like @Ciaraioch and the print is pure gorgeous. A frame beckons!
Go buy her stuff!
Looking for an old Irish friend called Kieron O'Connor who lived around the Elephant and Castle from the eighties until nearly two decades ago (specifically Rockingham and Borough). He moved back to Ireland (Cork?) and I'd love to get back in touch. Probably about 65 now.
Tonight I’m feeling a bit gutted. Sinéad O’Connor’s voice has been part of my life, my growing up, my grown-upness. Not far off 40 years. I only got her book Rememberings from the library last Christmas. #Sinéad#SinéadOConnor #Mastodaoine#RIP#IrishMusic
Why is Flahavans oat milk so bad though? It's just wet oats, how do you screw up wet oats? I wanted it to be good, I want to support an Irish brand, but they've screwed up wet oats.
Watching #dublinriots unfold, as a Ru immigrant, I can’t help but think Ru riot police, which in my home country is deployed against peaceful protesters, have resources - both armor and training - to control such riots. Resources that #Garda Síochána doesn't have
As an immigrant from an autocracy built upon that riot police, I hate the idea of Ireland getting this kind of police
And I'm enraged that those bigots on the streets are pushing Ireland towards becoming the police state #mastodaoine
