I have just noticed that Sengi has LibreTranslate built in to translate text from different languages to the one is selected as the default language in the settings 😎. Kudos 👍 for using an a FLOSS solution for translating instead of the more mainstream google translate. 😄

I’ve had a few people reach out to me to ask how secure Argos Translate is.
I try to take security seriously; but of course all software has bugs. To my knowledge, to date, no one has found a serious security vulnerability in Argos Translate or LibreTranslate. It’s probably inevitable though that ArgosTranslate/LibreTranslate or one of it’s dependencies will have a security vulnerability at some point.

I have to admit, I'm afraid of Docker. Is there an easier way of running #LibreTranslate? Maybe some instance with a limited free API service? I wanted to try some #MachineTranslation on my open markdown teaching materials repo :/

I find other languages on the Fediverse, but if their language isn't set, it just remains there, inaccessible for non-speakers/readers of that language. #libretranslate#accessibility
