*** Don't you dare! ***

I love her intense look.

On a side note: I get it that film makers and photographers are in love with two-handed and bastard swords: They are long and look impressive, but not necessarily the best choice for real fights, unless you're a very large and strong person (Think of GoT's Brienne of Tarth or The Mountain).

Better use a spear or a shorter sword and a shield!

As the fight was over, Yolanthe thought in the dear ones, who had been less fortunate than her.

Railla surely was a great swordswoman, but will her weapon protect her against what is lurking in the swamp?

I don't know who she is and whom she has slain, but I guess, with all the fire, the #LadiesAndSwords is just right for today's #witch⁣es night.

The day before yesterday, I asked you for opinions about story ideas.

Yolanthe didn't get too many votes, but at least, I'd like you to show how I imagine her:

Today, we have a scene from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000).

The sword thief Yu Jiao Long (Zhang Ziyi) against master fighter Yu Xiu Lian (Michelle Yeoh).

Usually, I despise most modern and Asian action films because of their disrespect for the laws of physics (e.g. flying people, super speed), but here these effects are sparse, and the focus is on the skills and the mind games between the two women, so I love it!

Two women engage in a duel. Lian is the superior fighter, but Yu Jiao wields the fabulous sword Green Destiny and is able to destroy each weapon that Lian wields, until Lian finally manages to defeat Yu Jiao with a broken sword.

Do you like "Ladies and Swords" series? Or is it an annoyance in your timeline?

    Shall I continue or finish?

Do you remember Game of Thrones?

The TV-series with truly cool dragons many of us first loved and then hated with equal passion, when the scripts turned into total crap?!

A late highlight of the series was, IMO, the fight between Brienne and the Hound (unlike Arya vs. Brienne, which was complete shite). This was epic.

Crossing a river in plated armour is always a challenge.

Whilst the blue hair is certainly not historically accurate, I still love the look of it.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find a source for this image.

    On her quest

If I see it right, she's wearing the colours of the "German Order", a medieval knights' order founded for the crusades.

After failing to establish a permanent presence in the "Holy Land", they established themselves from the XIII to the XVI century in East Prussia in the Region of Königsberg, birthplace of Immanuel .

Despite what we might think about crusades and knights' orders, I think the outfit is rather stylish.

Yesterday, we established the usefulness of swords against zombies (right, @DerTapfere ?).

Let's dive a bit deeper into that!

🎞️ from "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies" (2016) - The Film is quite funny, but not as good as title and trailer suggest.

the clip starts with 4 young ladies putting on Edwardian style clothes, with dresses, stockings corsets, but also knives into their garter belts. Then the scene changes as they enter a posh party, pulling knives and swords, killing zombies merciless

#FantasyLeserPrompts 19.4.

PS: Gute Besserung deinem Liebsten! Kranksein ist doof!
