On a side note: I get it that film makers and photographers are in love with two-handed and bastard swords: They are long and look impressive, but not necessarily the best choice for real fights, unless you're a very large and strong person (Think of GoT's Brienne of Tarth or The Mountain).
Better use a spear or a shorter sword and a shield!
Today, we have a scene from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000).
The sword thief Yu Jiao Long (Zhang Ziyi) against master fighter Yu Xiu Lian (Michelle Yeoh).
Usually, I despise most modern and Asian action films because of their disrespect for the laws of physics (e.g. flying people, super speed), but here these effects are sparse, and the focus is on the skills and the mind games between the two women, so I love it!
If I see it right, she's wearing the colours of the "German Order", a medieval knights' order founded for the crusades.
After failing to establish a permanent presence in the "Holy Land", they established themselves from the XIII to the XVI century in East Prussia in the Region of Königsberg, birthplace of Immanuel #Kant.
Despite what we might think about crusades and knights' orders, I think the outfit is rather stylish.
