That Chronos fucks with your pause menu is quite cute, but feels like an accessibility nightmare. Sometimes I need to pause? I get it in MMOs where pausing doesn't make sense, but in a single-player game?
So far, #Hades2 has maybe double the number of “systems” at play as Hades, and I actually think that’s a good thing.
It’s really making me think about multi-layered builds for each run, in a way that I didn’t for the first, and means that each run accomplishes some sub-objective of the build, even if the main one isn’t met.
uh oh i have 667 twitch followers now, the dam has been broken.
Guess there's no reason then not to follow if you aren't already, and hang out with me today 12-3pm pst while I try out #Hades2 for the first time 😉 https://www.twitch.tv/cerigotgame
I finally beat the final boss of hades 2 yesterday
holy shit what a hard fight. But I lucked out on maybe the most broken build I could have possibly geared so it went remarkably smoothly, but still. goddamn what a hard boss
Okay so #hades2 is fucking phenomenal and it’s living up to the hype immensely, even in its early access state. There’s a massive jump in difficulty that I’m a lil annoyed by (one sub boss in particular) and every mechanic has an extra layer of complexity that can be a bit harder to get past but everything is just so much deeper than in any other rougelite I’ve played.
Gonna no life it so hard this weekend, all my loved ones will probably have to call a wellnsss check on me.
Stuff that’s unfinished are things like art icons and a couple of minor character models.
The gameplay itself feels quite polished and aside from a single weapon that feels a bit unthought out (or I could just be bad) I think it’s in an amazing state.
The one thing I’m worried about is if my save file is gonna be deleted once game proper comes out but honestly I’ll probably enjoy playing it out again and noting the differences.
They should write in traps where if you reach the end of the early access content within 24hrs of release it feeds you a fake storyline, so people flood message boards with stuff like "Can you believe Skelly was Chronos all along???" And we can mock them for it.
Already overwhelmingly positive. I quite enjoyed the first one, don't think I ever finished the story, but it's a good game and I expect the second will be just as grand!
Anyone going to get it early? Will you wait? Did you play it already?
