I have been replaying Grandia on the Miyoo Mini plus for the #VideoGameClub and have been really enjoying it. I feel it looks better on the smaller screen and I like that I can overclock it as well. #VGCMay2024#Grandia#Emulation
While I think about what to do with #DarkSouls3's frame rate issue on XBox One (stomach it and keep playing? buy the game again for PS5?) I'm going to go back to #Grandia and try to complete it for the #VGCJan2024
Just to check, there is no specific PS5 version, right? It's sold as a game for PS4 which runs on the PS5?
I also played Bloodborne on PS5 and was surprised by the occasional frame rate drops. And Elden Ring I played it on XBox One and it did run smoothly all the time, which is why I'm quite surprised by the poor optimization of DS3 for XBox One!
@hk it’s a PS4 version, and the PS5 uses the PS4 Pro settings, but has enough horsepower to actually deliver 60fps at every s
Bloodborne never got the Pro treatment :(
Even for Elden Ring, I downloaded the PS4 version on the PS5, which runs perfectly except for a few areas. The PS5 version rarely gets to 60. From can’t make a game that runs well on the hardware it’s designed for to save their lives 😅
@WanderingInDigitalWorlds I was turned off from it 20+ years ago by the voice acting and anime art (which was new to me). I never thought about going back to it, but it gets so much glowing love that I've been convinced to try again.
@scribblemacher I think it was the cliché that drove me off more than anything...A story similar to everything that I experienced up until that point.
As I never heard of Grandia until the remaster was released in the USA in 2019. The glut of samey stories just wore me out, which was sad as I do love the anime aesthetic in games.
This is gonna be very Castle in the Sky, isn't it? These are some heavy Miyazaki vibes and I'm not even two minutes into the opening cinematic. #Grandia#Gaming#Retrogaming
