One of my favorite museums is The Ringling Museum of Art in Florida. This photo shows one of the fountains in the museum's central courtyard, which displays recreations of notable statues from the Classical, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical periods. #MythologyMonday
Exploring Jacksonville • Phoenix Arts District • Market Street • Phoenix neighborhood
My destination on this particular day was a large industrial section of town long out of use and spruced up with countless murals and colorful graffiti. Here, walking past this pile of old decaying railroad ties is my first glimpse of the outskirts, where in the distance some graffiti comes into view. Much more yet to be posted from the Phoenix Arts District 😁🙌🎉
"Searing #heatwaves could be a common theme this summer in parts of the United States and might make it one of the hottest on record, according to an updated outlook released Thursday by The Weather Company and Atmospheric G2.
The West Coast, from California to southwest Washington, might be the exception. "
Early installment:
"Record-breaking heat has struck South #Florida this week and will persist into the weekend, bringing the heat index up to 109 degrees and unusually hot weather to parts of the state not usually seen until the summer months."
-- Moms For Liberty co-founder Bridget Zeigler, in a text message to husband Christian Zeigler, on his prowling bars in Florida for women for them both to have sex with.
"While belief in #ClimateChange has waned a bit nationally, 90% of Floridians still believe it’s real, according to a recent survey by #Florida Atlantic University.
Most Floridians — nearly 70% — want both the state and federal governments to do more to address climate change, the study found."
Sea levels are starting to rise faster. Here’s how much South Florida is expecting
"Sea levels are rising, swamping roads and homes in South #Florida. And it’s picked up the pace in recent years.
It took about 80 years for the first foot. The second one will only take 30 years. The next, 20 years. And Florida could see the next foot in merely a decade after that."
