I practice #magick and have done my three levels of #Reiki too. I see myself mostly involved in that aspect of things, but I feel I'm kind of just wandering around without a group of people, and I'm looking for company and community.
I'm also sort of involved in my local #CUUPS chapter at my local #UU#church
and I'm looking forward to meeting others on here and learning more!
One of my favorite buildings in Columbus is the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. It sits alongside the Scioto River and connects to the Memorial Grove, which consists of trees encircled by a pathway.
Artist Janet Echelman used over 78 miles (125 km) of colorful fiber to create the work, connecting to the buildings at the intersections of Gay and High Street in Columbus.
Finally heading back home today. It's been a long week in Columbus OH, and I'm anxious to get back. #Columbus seems nice from what I've seen, which admittedly isn't much. I've spent pretty much all of my time either at work or at the hotel or somewhere between. I like the weather here more than the furnace of #Phoenix. My coworkers all seem to disagree with me on that one. Seems people from Phoenix don't appreciate colder weather. Who knew? I'm excited to see my kids not on a computer monitor.
I saw this fantastic video from Shifter about the expansive, $100 million urban cycling project in Edmonton, Alberta. I wanted to make sure the wonderful Edmonton cyclist community on Mastodon saw this!
I hope #columbus, #ohio can follow in the footsteps of the community and leadership in Edmonton.
In a way you have to admire Christopher #Columbus. He managed to annoy Queen Isabella enough she was absolutely ready to give him money for an expedition she knew was an absolute fools' errand.
She was absolutely ready to lose three ships and all sailors just so this damn Genoan would go away.
And then he comes back having run into a completely different continent on the way there and sells it as a success.
